Set in beautiful English countryside in Somerset, overlooking Glastonbury Tor, Bruton School for Girls lies on the edge of the historical market town of Bruton.
The surrounding countryside offers many ‘eco’ opportunities for the girls, both in their academic studies and for extra-curricular and leisure interests. Many walks are accessible and British wildlife is abundant.
As mentioned in a feature in The Times (August 2014), Bruton has a thriving arts and cultural community and attracts even greater numbers of creative people since the opening of the Hauser & Wirth Art Gallery.
The town was also positioned as the 'most fashionable' place to live by The Times (March 2015), and boasts an eclectic mix of independent shops and restaurants such as the highly acclaimed At the Chapel and Matt’s Kitchen. It is also home to Mill on the Brue Activity Centre for the more adventurous among us.
But however the fashions and trends change, Bruton has managed to retain its character of a true market town with an incredibly strong sense of community of which, we at BSG, are very proud to be part of.
