Bruton School for Girls and Sunny Hill Prep is marking the start of the new Autumn term by welcoming the highest number of new pupils for five years.
On the back of strong A Level and GCSE results, as well as endorsements from The Good Schools Guide and the Independent Schools Inspectorate, the school also revealed that its Sixth Form starts the new academic year with its largest ever number of new joiners, with the vast majority of students travelling locally from Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire.
Children returning to the prep school will be particularly eager to see their newly refurbished classrooms following summer work to modernise and extend the prep school to accommodate children moving into the school which takes boys aged 3-7 and girls from 3-11.
The Prep School has also announced that it is extending the wrap around care for its youngest pupils aged 3 to 7.
Mrs Helen Snow, Head at Sunny Hill Prep, said:
“Parents will now be able to drop the very youngest children off to school from 7.45am when they can have breakfast if they choose, as well as offering a later pick up at the end of the day up to 6pm. We feel this newly extended provision will help parents needing that extra flexibility at the start or end of the day and together with our refurbished suite of classrooms, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”
Anyone wishing to find out more about the wrap around care and availability of places should contact the school on 01749 814400.
