Geography is taught as an enquiry-based subject, of which the use of ICT is an integral part.  In the younger years children make a study of an area in close proximity to the school, together with an area which contrasts sharply with it.  As the children move through the school their range of enquiry extends to other countries.  Observation, collection, organisation, recording and retrieval of information are practiced.  A range of geographical skills and vocabulary are developed through the various projects as well as opportunities for fieldwork.  Your daughter will learn how to use and read maps, globes and atlases.  The subject raises her awareness of the wider world and the broader geographical context of the places she has studied.
