Many girls meet life-long friends at school and BSG is no exception. We encourage girls to spend time with each other irrespective of age or ability. The tutor group system encourages this, with girls from different year groups being mixed together, and often choosing to spend time together outside school.
When girls move on from BSG, they are often referred to as ‘Old Girls’ and as such can become members of Sunny Hill Old Girls Association (SHOGA). Many pupils decide to opt-in to SHOGA Life Membership when they join the school, but for those who have not done so, membership can be obtained by making a donation. We would also encourage all old girls to sign up to 'WebAlumnus' - a site where you can search for old school friends and post up news.
SHOGA produces an annual publication ‘Over the Hill’ and the association meets each year for its AGM and Reunion, which usually takes place in May. Numerous other informal reunions are organised by the girls themselves.
Old Girls are regularly communicated with by the school and invited to events and performances involving the current cohort of girls at the school. Please do stay connected with BSG by signing up to receive regular news, as you do not have to become a SHOGA member for this.
Many girls choose to stay in touch with each other and this is often assisted with the use of social media. Please stay connected and ‘like’ us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram @brutonschool, and keep us informed about what you are doing.
BSG would very much like to welcome you back to talk to current students, sometime in the future.
