Bruton School for Girls announced another set of outstanding English Speaking Board exam results.
Pupils from the school were thrilled to receive their results. 14 Lower Sixth Form girls took the Advanced Certificate in Spoken English. 11 gained Distinction and 3 gained Merit Plus. The award carries valuable UCAS points.
The examiner was very impressed by all the girls. In particular, she commended Karris Chappell’s performances and has nominated Karris for the English Speaking Board Speaker of the Year, which is a wonderful accolade.
Mrs Jillian Evans, Head of English, said that she was delighted with the results, which reflected the girls’ talent as well as their hard work. She added: “The importance of excellent communication skills cannot be underestimated in today’s competitive world. The girls have shown by their performances in this demanding exam that they are skilful communicators.”
