Whilst many people’s thoughts are drifting towards the end of the school year, the Estates team here at Bruton School for Girls is gearing up for a hectic summer as major building work starts on site.
A project to renovate the Chappell Building – one of the core teaching areas of the school – will begin before the end of the summer term.
Headmistress, Nicky Botterill, explained: “We are delighted to announce that the Governors have given their formal approval to the Chappell Building project which will modernise and develop our teaching and classroom facilities for the benefit of all girls in the Senior School.
“This investment will add to the work currently underway to develop the junior boarding facilities, creating new dormitories and bathrooms for our youngest boarders. It also demonstrates the school’s confidence and commitment to providing the best environment for our students to learn, achieve and to develop their individual personalities as young people.”
The work on the Chappell building is anticipated to be complete by the end of the Autumn Term.
