Any child who experiences difficulties will be offered the opportunity to receive additional support lessons with a specialist teacher, in what we call the Skills Development Unit (SDU).
We welcome children with a range of learning needs and close links are maintained between the school and parents. If your daughter has significant learning difficulties or disabilities we undertake Pupil Passports for her. We aim to help her develop skills through individualised schemes of multi-sensory learning, leading to success and enhanced self-esteem. Where appropriate, support from external agencies is sought and incorporated into Pupil Passports and we have experience of supporting pupils with a statement and have all the relevant systems in place.
The skills development work is coordinated by the Head of the Skills Development Unit in the Senior School ensuring that the expertise is available for all pupils, right across the school.
