Last weekend Jess B, Lower Sixth travelled to Telford, Shropshire for the first of the British qualifiers for the World Championships in Japan, in November. Jess went into the competition feeling a bit unsure of what she was going to compete against, as had been struggling with the step up to a new age group. However Jess and her coach decided to go for a mid-range run first, and depending on how well it went, they would decide whether to do the harder one or the slightly easier run. The first tumble went really well with good height, which is what Jess needed for the harder, second run. Jess landed both runs well and came away with the British qualification, the world qualifying score and a gold medal. Congratulations Jess!
