The school stationery shop and photocopier were unusually quiet this week so that Bruton School for Girls could recognise the lady in charge of the pens and printing for her long service to the school.
Mrs Anne Tuck from Sparkford has worked at Bruton School for Girls for 30 years and joins an illustrious group of workers who have clocked up long service, including Mrs Jean Warry the fees manager.
Nicky Botterill, Headmistress at Bruton School for Girls, echoed the thoughts of all the staff and pupils who see Mrs Tuck daily in the school shop:
“Everyone knows Mrs Tuck and she has a fabulous memory for girls’ names past and present. She is so generous with her knowledge and time – nothing is too much trouble and we all offer her our congratulations and thanks.”
Anne said: “I absolutely love working at the school; it’s like having an extended family – there’s no place like it.”
