On Saturday 19th May we were delighted to welcome well over 100 ‘Old’ Girls to our annual reunion. A typically gorgeous day on Sunny Hill, it was wonderful to see such a spread of ages, from girls who left 10 years ago to ladies in their 80s. It was a particularly special day for 40 women who were celebrating 40 years since leaving Sunny Hill, some of whom had travelled from Australia, Qatar, Nigeria and Hawaii. Due to the Royal Wedding ‘clashing’ with the AGM(!) we live-streamed the wedding and joined in the service, enjoying singing the hymns with the congregation. We even had a guest appearance of Harry and Meghan themselves (in cardboard cut-out form) for Instagram and Facebook photo-opportunities. After a fantastic lunch provided by Melissa and the team, many spent some time wandering the grounds and reminiscing, before a delicious afternoon tea.
We are hugely grateful to our Old Girl network and to SHOGA for their support in all we do and to the many old girls who have agreed to come back and support our current girls. We look forward to welcoming them to lectures and careers events throughout next year.
